October 1813 Timeline-- Part 2: Chief Tecumseh Killed
OCTOBER 5th
Battle of the Thames, Upper Canada. Chief Tecumseh killed. Americans win and secured control of the southwest and Upper Canada.
OCTOBER 5TH--
The Portsmouth Packet captured by HMS Fantome off Maine. Her original owners got her back and resumed privateering under her original name, the Liverpool Packet.
OCTOBER 6TH--
Commodore Chauncey's Lake Ontario squadron captures six of seven transports of a British convoy sailing from York to Kingston. Took 250 prisoners.
OCTOBER 13TH--
American raids on Missisiquoi Bay, Lower Canada.
